Ballroom-with-a-Twist.jpg

My little Moose (my 6 year old son) loves dancing, he loves everything about it! He loves to dance, watch dancing on TV (we watch So You Think You Can Dance together) and basically participate in anything that involves dancing in anyway. He is actually taking Break Dancing lessons right now at a local BBoy studio and loving it! When I got an invitation to see Ballroom with a Twist, I knew I would take my little dance lover with me. He was excited, he loves a good mother/son date as much as I … [Read more...]

Doyle and Debbie- Denver

doyle-and-debbie.jpg

You may not have heard of this show before, I know that I had never heard of it, but Doyle and Debbie is a funny little comedy that is showing at the Garner Galleria Theatre in Denver. A couple of days ago I had the honor of attending one of the performances, so that I could see what the show was all about. As it turns out, Doyle and Debbie is a show about Doyle Mayfield, an old country star (he’s a has been, who is trying to resurrect his career) and his new Debbie (you see, he’s had a … [Read more...]

Tonight we went to a media night at Elitch Gardens in Denver, we had been to Elitch's before but this was the first time this season. We were laughing because the evening was pretty much like every kids dream! Fun rides, not too many people, good food, cotton candy, ice cream, and soda. The people there were wonderful and it was really the most fun we have ever had at an amusement park. Here are the things we did: We went on the Ferris Wheel and the new ride The Blazin’ Buckaroo. FritoLay-BBQ-2.jpg

It’s finally here, Barbeque season! I love cooking outside on a warm spring evening… when I say I love cooking outside on a warm spring evening, you should know that I actually mean that I love watching Jason cook. I have never, in my life, barbequed anything! So silly, but I just don’t even know how. I do LOVE a good barbeque though and as everyone knows, you can’t have a great barbeque without Frito-Lay and Pepsi (and for me, Kroger). This weekend we had a fantastic family get … [Read more...]

Colorado Kids Triathlon has partnered with the Denver Broncos NFL Play 60 Program and the YMCA to build the largest kids triathlon in Colorado. It will be held on June 30 at Adams City High School in Commerce City.  Triathlon is one of the … [Read more...]

Mary Poppins- Denver

Mary-Poppins-Denver.png

Last night we took Moose and Tater to see Mary Poppins at the Buell Theater in Denver. Before the show I realized that I might be failing my children when I asked if they wanted to go, they thought it was a movie and Tater said “Maybe one day it will come out on DVD.” They had NO idea that it was already on DVD and that it is a really old movie! In that moment I realized that they had never watched Mary Poppins… that is not ok! That movie is a staple, everyone should see it when they are … [Read more...]

Smile Generation and the Colorado Avalanche

snow-in-denver.png

Do you enjoy hockey? I used to, when I was younger I used to watch all of the Colorado Avalanche games on TV, I never missed one! As I have gotten older (and after the strike) I kind of stepped back from it without even noticing that I had. I would go seasons without watching a single game and not realize because I was so busy taking care of the babies, so when Smile Generation contacted me about attending an Avalanche vs. Blue Jackets game, I was all over it! Mother nature chose the day of … [Read more...]

Bon Jovi live in concert

bon-jovi-olloclip.jpg

Last night was a big deal here in Denver, Bon Jovi was here! He is touring right now, on his “Because We Can” tour and I must say, it was a really good show! I have never seen Bon Jovi in concert and either has Jason, so when I won free tickets from The Denver Housewife I was thrilled! The coolest part about winning the tickets was that my best friend was in from out of town just to go to this concert and now we would be able to be there together, I couldn’t wait! I have been to a … [Read more...]
