This Valentines Day we had a special date, because we couldn’t find a babysitter, we stayed home and had a living room picnic! We ordered some pizza and watched the new Fox Home Entertainment movie The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks.
It was such a fun Valentines day, we watched a bit of TV with the kids, and then sent them to their rooms so that we could have our little date. We’ve never had a true picnic before, with a blanket, and a candle, and all!
The Best of Me was such a sweet romance, it was the perfect movie to snuggle up together on the couch, and just love each other. We thought it was a really good movie, and enjoyed it greatly.
If you haven’t seen (or read) The Best of Me, and you love romantic movies, you should check this one out!
Synopsis of The Best of Me–
Twenty-one years after being torn apart by circumstances that were beyond their control; two lovers, who have never forgotten one another, get a second chance at building a life together in this sweet romantic drama from bestselling author Nicholas Sparks. Dawson and Amanda were just teenagers when they fell head over heels in love. Unfortunately, it wasn’t meant to be — at least not at the time. Two decades later, in the wake of a mutual friend’s death, Dawson and Amanda are reunited as adults. They find that their passion is still strong, but just when it seems like their happily ever after is finally within reach, they discover that the same threat that tore them apart in youth has returned and is even stronger, and more determined to divide them than ever before.
