Buying presents at Gordmans

Every year my friends and I do a little secret Santa gift exchange, and this year I decided to do one with the kids’ that I teach at the homeschooling co-op too. We all go to a website that assigns you a secret Santa and allows each person to build a wish list, it’s all sorted by price and stuff and even though I have never bought (or received) anything directly from the lists, it does offer ideas of what your Santa recipient would like. So, with my secret Santa’s “likes” in mind I headed to Gordmans to do some shopping.

Actually, one of the recipients hadn’t really filled out a wish list or given many hints about what they would want, so I knew that was going to make my life really rough because I hate finding gifts for people that I know, let alone people that I don’t know very well!

If you’ve ever been into Gordmans, you know that they have a sort of grand display when you enter and during the holidays it is extra grand!

gordmans entry

gordmans end capEvery aisle has an end cap full of holiday ideas, that are perfect for everyone on your list. I was looking around for gifts for a teenager and a gift for a woman in her 30’s and I found great things for both. I also found things that would be perfect for teachers gifts, little coffee sets, hot cocoa mixes, candy gift baskets, and so much more!

I walked around for more than an hour, which is insane because I am normally in-and-out of stores in a flash. I go in with an idea of what I want, I find it, and I get out, but for some reason I was just looking around thinking about who I could give each item that I saw to.

In the end I got my teacher’s assistants gifts and my secret Santa gift too. I got one of my assistants a little variety pack of hot cocoa in little glass bottles, so freakin’ cute! I also got a couple of dollar boxes of candy, because she loves sweets. I got the other assistant some little chocolates and an elf cupcake kit that I knew she would love, because she loves baking.

As far as my secret Santa goes, I can’t reveal that just yet, but it’s good!

So, what gifts are you still searching for? Who is left on your list? Do you want to win a $25 Gordmans gift card to spend on stuff that you didn’t get that were on your wish list? I happen to have one just for you!
