For as long as I can remember Moose has wanted to be a dancer, he just loves all things dance but he doesn’t want to be a traditional dancer doing ballet and all that… he wants to be a BBoy in Denver. He doesn’t just want it, he has begged and begged for a couple of years now for me to find him some lessons but I just didn’t think anything like that existed. I mean seriously? Isn’t that something that people just learn from other people that they know who do it? Nope. I found lessons for him to learn BBoy in Denver! I can’t believe it!
There is a whole studio devoted to teaching kids (and teens and adults) how to do all sorts of stuff, ranging from BBoy to real street hip-hop. They have stretching clinics, some work out type stuff and more. Beyond all of that, these guys are really great! Walking in, I was really worried about how they would be, would they be nice to the Moose man?
His teacher is named Ian and he owns the place. He is so nice! I can’t even believe how nice and down to earth this guy is. We have been there when the adult students were doing stuff and they were super nice and supportive of the kiddos too. If you are looking for a place to learn (or for your kids to learn) the real thing from some really great teachers, this is your spot.
So we have been going to the classes for a couple of months and he is learning so much, now his energy is focused on something, instead of just running around like a crazy person.
There is something coming up that we are really looking forward to, an AcroRock class with Ivan. We just met Ivan for the first time this week at class and he is incredibly nice, I think he has the energy of a 3-year old shoved into a 30 year old body. The AcroRock class is going to teach the kids some head spinning flipping type stuff and it is going to be the best, I just know it. From what I can see, it is going to be worth every single penny; we are fully committed! If you aren’t sure, you can email him and work out a free trial class.
