Tonight we went to a media night at Elitch Gardens in Denver, we had been to Elitch’s before but this was the first time this season. We were laughing because the evening was pretty much like every kids dream! Fun rides, not too many people, good food, cotton candy, ice cream, and soda. The people there were wonderful and it was really the most fun we have ever had at an amusement park.
Here are the things we did:
We went on the Ferris Wheel and the new ride The Blazin’ Buckaroo.
The Blazin’ Buckaroo was an absolute blast and I didn’t see a person who wasn’t having fun on the ride. Literally every person who was on the ride or got off was smiling and laughing. They say it is a ride for the whole family and I would agree; all ages appeared to really enjoy it. We loved it and both boys kept telling us how much fun it was. Little C was funny because when the ride was over he yelled, “woohoo” and when we got off and told the operator “thank you” and said “give me a five.” Little J couldn’t wait to get on it again, I think he would have been happy to have stayed on that ride all night!
We also went to the Cirque Conjure show. It was a Vegas worthy show, and the boys were completely enthralled by the whole thing. They have humor mixed with great magical illusions. Little C kept asking “mom how did he do that?” and Little J’s smile said more than enough. It was very entertaining and a well done show.
The food was great! I enjoyed the bbq sandwich (I’m the only one who tried it) and we all really liked the buffalo wings, especially the bbq ones and the ones with hot sauce and blue cheese on them. They also have chicken in a waffle and Little J tried it and really liked it! As at any amusement park, the cotton candy and fudge were the best part and we all enjoyed our sugar rush after sharing both, they were delicious!
Kudos to Elitch Gardens for their very friendly staff, everyone was in great spirits and helpful. Something that stood out to me was how well all of the ride operators interacted with the kids; there wasn’t a single one who didn’t respond to a persons question or a child saying thank you or giving high fives.
Disclosure: We were given tickets for our family to visit Elitch Gardens, no other compensation was given. All opinions are 100% my own and were not influenced in anyway. The picture in this post was taken from the Elitch Gardens website.
