As many of you know, last weekend I hosted an event with Graco and Babies R Us to introduce the Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40. The event went really well, and I was happy to get to meet some of you, thank you so much for coming out! This post also includes a $25 Babies R Us gift card giveaway, so don’t miss out!
Our meeting spot was the local Babies R Us, which was perfect, since Babies R Us is the exclusive retailer for the SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40. If you missed it, I am sorry! You missed out on some awesome cookies and lots of fun!
As everyone settled in we talked about the features of this beautiful car seat, I think we could have talked about it for hours actually. For those of you who may not know, the features include-
- A 4-40 pound weight limit
- The base adjusts to 8 different recline positions, to allow for the most leg room of any rear-facing car seat
- The Simply Safe Adjust harness system allows parents to adjust the harness height and headrest with just one hand to fit their baby’s height as he/she grows, all without having to rethread the harness
- Click Connect attachment which allows parents to easily move their babies from the car seat to the stroller through a simple, but secure, one-step “click”
So, I’d like to address something that some of you may be thinking (because I thought it too!), yes it is true. There really
is a way to keep your kids comfortably rear-facing to the age of two. When I was originally looking into this event and this product I was thinking “Yeah right!? There is NO way that a two-year old can sit rear-facing!” but then I looking deeper into the features of the Click Connect™ 40. I found some other reviews, one of which featured a child who was nearly 3 years old* sitting rear-facing in this seat just to prove that there truly was plenty of room for her legs… and oddly enough, it was true! She really did have plenty of room! The reason that there is enough room has a lot to do with the base that adjusts to 8 different positions, so that your newborn is in the most reclined position while a 2-year old would be much more upright.
Here is my honest opinion: The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 is one of the best car seats I have ever seen. This thing is like the rock star of all car seats! It retails for $219.99 and I do believe it is well worth the price because of the amount of use that you will get from it and the additional safety it will provide for your family.
Graco offers this car seat in two patterns; Moonstruck (which is seen here on the right side) is a beautiful gray color and Mena (which is seen here on the left) is a gorgeous sort-of swirl/flowery style pattern.
The Graco SnugRide® Click Connect™ 40 – the first and only newborn to two-year infant car seat that actually grows with your baby from four pounds all the way up to 40 pounds. The car seat is designed for a parent on the go. The infant car seat can be easily removed from the base and used as a carrier when the infant is small, providing portability and convenience so you can easily move your infant in and out of the car without disturbing them.
The American Academy of Pediatrics recently made the recommendation to keep all children in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2. Graco set out to make this product so parents can keep infants rear facing longer while still keeping them comfortable.
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Graco. The opinions and text are all mine.
*at nearly 3-years old she was well above the age limit of 2-years old for this seat, but it was for demonstration purposes only and the vehicle was not moving. You should always follow the recommendation given by the manufacturer.

I probably like Moonstruck better, but these both look like great strollers

I LOVE the Mena pattern. Man, when my first son was born (’92…eek!), there were basically NO choices for car seats. Things are so much better now…more choices, more functionality, cuter — definitely cuter!

I like the Moonstruck color the best as we don’t know if it is a boy or a girl yet.
I love that it allows the children to remain facing backwards until they are 2 years old.
