Ah, fall is in the air, can you feel it? I can, and I love it! There is something about the end of summer that just makes me long for fall (and winter!) and all of the great things that are a part of the season.
Some of the very best foods, at least my favorites, are considered to be “fall foods,” think about it… soups and stews, pumpkin pie, apple pie and the list goes on and on.
My favorite holiday is also one that is found in fall (and based around food), Thanksgiving! I always invite my whole family over to my house and I spend all day making every single dish from scratch, including a delicious turkey! I swear, I wait all year just to eat the yummy food that is served in that one day!
I don’t bother eating turkey any other day, only Thanksgiving. Is it because I don’t like turkey? Heck no! I love turkey, I could eat it every single day… the real problem is finding turkey that tastes fresh and delicious. Well, it used to be a problem, but I think I’ve found a solution!
Arby’s recently introduced their New Grand Turkey Club and I knew that I had to try it. Arby’s is one of my favorite “fast food” restaurants because their food always seems to be higher quality than other places. Their chicken is real chicken, which seems rare now, and everything is fresh and yummy! Knowing that, I thought there would be a decent chance for this new sandwich to taste like my homemade turkey.
I called Jason and asked him to pick up a couple of the new Grand Turkey Club’s for dinner, fingers crossed. He brought it in to me while I was working and the smell was overwhelming, and this pregnant lady almost ripped his arms off at the shoulders trying to snatch that sandwich from his hands! I unwrapped it and bit right in, it was glorious, seriously. The bread was really good and tasted fresh, the veggies were crisp and delish. The turkey was very good; it was sliced, warm and piled high, covered in melted Swiss cheese. Last but not least, it has pepper bacon on it and I know how much everyone loves some good bacon… especially combined with turkey. This is one highly recommended sandwich.
If you haven’t yet, you should head over to Facebook and “like” Arby’s, you never know when they will share a good deal and you don’t want to miss out-
Arby’s is “slicing up freshness” with the new Grand Turkey Club. It’s served on a toasted Harvest Wheat bun with turkey sliced fresh in-store, served hot with melted Swiss cheese, pepper bacon, leaf lettuce, tomato and mayo. This is more than just a sandwich. The new Grand Turkey Club has true “craveability!” Learn more here.
