Hey everyone! This is Steven coming atcha from TheTrendGuys.com. I’m a pretty good friend of Sarah and she even made a guest post on my blog. Therefore, I thought it was time that I returned the favor and made a guest post for her.
Now, as you can see, I’m going to be talking about Babcock State Park, which is located in West Virginia. Of course, Sarah is from Colorado, so you may wonder why I’m talking about West Virginia and why it is relevant to her visitors. Well, West Virginia gets quite a few tourists and a lot of them do visit Babcock State Park. Also, West Virginia and Colorado do have something in common — white water rafting. Therefore, if you ever visit West Virginia, I’m going to give you a little bit of information about Babcock State Park.
Babcock State Park is a place that is just riddled with beauty. If you have ever wondered where the perfect place is to take your significant other on a picnic, Babcock would be your answer. One of the many attractions to Babcock is the Grist Mill, which can be seen in a slew of pictures. If you search for West Virginia, chances are, you are going to come across a picture of the mill.
Babcock State Park offers a lake and a stream, which is absolutely wonderful if you want to spend a relaxing day with your line in the water. If you want to cruise around the lake in comfort, you can rent paddle boats. Babcock State Park also has cabins that you can rent. As a matter of fact, they have a slew of cabins that you can take advantage of. Some of the cabins are meant for “roughing it” as I call it, while some are a little more luxurious.
The last time I went to Babcock State Park, I went with a few friends of mine and my girlfriend. We didn’t stay in one of the cabins, but we did rent a campground. The campgrounds do come with a fire pit and picnic table, so you will have a place to chow down when you roast hamburgers, hot dogs and marshmallows. The campgrounds also have a shower house, restroom, playground, basketball court, etc…
There is a lot to explore when you visit Babcock State Park. It covers a pretty big area and just by hopping in your car or hiking around the area, you will come across some beautiful scenery. Also, you will find things that you never even knew was there. For instance, I came upon a basketball court one day and was totally surprised.Too bad I didn’t bring a ball with me, so my friends and I could get a game in.
Honestly, Babcock State Park is a place that I believe everyone should visit before they leave this Earth. I had a great time and I will definitely be making my way back. It’s a great place and we created some beautiful memories at that place. If any of you decide to go on a road trip and check out Babcock, feel free to contact me and let me know!
