I have loved taking my kids to see the Madagascar movies and this third one was no disappointment! From the animation, to the character introductions it reminded me from the very beginning why this movie franchise is so successful. With all of the original voices- Ben Stiller, Jada Pinkett-Smith, David Schwimmer, Sasha Baron-Cohen and Chris Rock- other wonderful characters were added. Stefano, voiced by Martin Short, Vitaly, voiced by Bryan Cranston. This cast had my entire family laughing throughout the whole movie.
This sequel picks up right where the second left off. The penguins took their plane from Africa to Monte Carlo in order to make enough money to get everyone back to New York. Alex has a nightmare that they will be stuck in Africa until they are all old and gray, so he forces the gang to go to Monte Carlo and grab the penguins and monkeys. After making on the radar of Captain Chantel DuBois, they all join up with a travelling circus in the hopes they will be able to get back home.
Overall, a truly fantastic movie, for adults and kids. Moose, Tater and Louie all three loved the movie- I know what their favorite parts are but cannot tell because I do not want to spoil the movie for you!
Who this movie is for- Everyone!!! Unless you hate laughing…
Who this movie is not for- it is age appropriate for everyone, some jokes are directed at adults but are not racy in the least
My Recommendation- Definitely worth seeing at the theater, on the big screen- and definitely splurge for 3D!
