I think I was born to “sweat the small stuff,” I have always done it, and I am really good at it! I can make anything into a worry for myself. I worry at night while I lie in bed, “what if the kids’ aren’t learning enough?” “should I make them eat differently?” “will they get married and forget that I exist?” The list goes on, and on!
In the last year or so, I have come to realize that I cannot worry so much. Now I make it a point to identify what is bothering me and then make a conscious effort to let it go, and you know what? It has been working for me! Once I can feel what is bothering me, I can let it go just as easily.
I am truly learning to live by the motto “Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff,” and it sure did take me a long time to learn but 30 years later… I’m getting it down!
Right now I am reading a book that helps me too, it is called “Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff for Mom’s” it is a bunch of little chapters and stories put together in a way that mom’s will love! Quick easy to read chapters that will brighten your day. Put this little gem on your nightstand, in the kitchen, the bathroom, where ever you might have a couple of minutes alone each day to read.
You are invited to join our community of mom’s who are trying to learn to stop sweating the small stuff. Learn to stress less and choose love and happiness instead. You can also find affirmations for moms in the Don’t Sweat the Small Stuff Mediation app!
Disclosure: I received a copy of “Don’t Sweat The Small Stuff for Mom’s” in order to facilitate this review. I was not compensated in any other way.
