As a homeschooling mommy I am always trying to find a new way to stimulate Moose and Tater, and encourage their love of learning. It is really hard to keep that spark alive inside of them, but I have found that when you weave a bit of technology and fun into your book curriculum it helps.
Recently we found a program called Trickomatics, it is a computer based learning game that helps teach your kids’ things that they really need to learn (but things that aren’t always “fun”); place values, mental math techniques, basic multiplication, advanced multiplication, problem solving, basic word problems, advanced word problems, and more!
This game is so fun, and really kid friendly! Tater (7 year old boy) and Louie (8 year old girl) both loved it! They have been asking to play the game everyday, and playing it for quite a while each day too! One of my favorite things about this program is that it doesn’t give kids’ the answer to the problem right away, but gives them hints when they ask for them, which helps them narrow down the answer on their own.
I really have enjoyed this program and I know that the kids have too!

This is really great, I had a hard time with math and I can see my older is also a stronger reader.
This is certainly a good and fun way for children to learn especially Math which most of the children kinda dislikes. Thanks!
