Have you seen Gutzy Gear? These things are awesome! They allow you to personalize your (your kids’) backpack straps and turn their backpack into a customized masterpiece.
First you get your Gutzy Gear straps:
And then you get some awesome Gutzies! These are little patches that you attach to the straps to make your child’s backpack reflect their own unique personality. There are so many different Gutzies, and they come in sets of 2. There are so many to choose from; they are designed so that everyone can find ones that they love.
We were lucky enough to host a little party with our Gutzy Gear straps and Gutzies! and what an awesome party it was! All of the kids brought their backpacks so that we could make them just the way that they wanted. Each kid picked whatever Gutzies they desired and then we opened them up and put them on.
It might seem complicated when you just hear about it, I know that I was thinking “patches? oh, I hate ironing patches…” but in reality these little guys have Velcro on the back and they just stick to the straps. Because they are just stuck to the straps and can be removed, it is easy for the kids to share with their friends and mix-and-match however they please. I could see the kids’ staring at one of the Gutzies that another kid had and then watched them talk about the trade and negotiate which ones they would exchange. Really fun!
I have to admit, at first I didn’t love this idea, BUT after having the party and seeing how much the kids loved them; I loved them too! They were so much fun, and the kids’ still have fun trading each other and mixing them all around. I will be buying different Gutzies in the next couple of weeks, I am sure!
If you have a kiddo who doesn’t love school, maybe this is the way that you can encourage them to be excited about it. Gutzy Gear is a great way to let your kids’ show their personality every day, even if they wear uniforms to school, they can still have a bit of their personal style showing.
